In Nigeria, where life expectancy is 55.2, it is rare for people to live up to 100. In 2015, I captured these three siblings who are all centenarians. They allude their long life to the potency of some herbs with which they were raised. Except for natural disaster, they are here to live for even longer years. Six months after this work, the youngest of the three siblings died at the age of 110 from the complication he had after falling off a palm wine tree.

The series Three Siblings who beat 100 is part of an on going exhibition  “Grey is the New Pink” at Weltkulturen Museum, Frankfurt, Germany.
